Privacy Policy

Unischool is an exam-preparation app for Rajasthan state exams, operated by ZeroNode. This page explains what we collect, why we need it, and how to get rid of it.

What we collect

When you create an account:

• Email address and a password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read it, and neither can anyone who obtains the database.
• Your name, if you give one. It is optional and shown to friends you connect with.
• Phone number, only if you choose to add one. It is stored encrypted.
• Google account identifier, if you sign in with Google.
• Preferred language and exam goals, so the app can show the right syllabus in the right script.

As you use the app:

• Your answers and study activity — which questions you attempted, what you answered, how long you took. This is what mastery tracking, spaced revision and battle ratings are computed from. Without it the app cannot do its job.
• Battle history — opponents, scores and ratings.
• Voice recordings, only while you are actively using the voice tutor, and only for as long as it takes to answer you.
• Device notification token, if you allow notifications.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data. There is no advertising network in the app.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not read your contacts, photos, messages or location.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the app: Google Cloud for hosting, Google's Gemini for generating explanations, and Sarvam for speech recognition and synthesis. They process data on our instructions, for the feature you asked for, and for nothing else.

Other students see only what you would expect them to: your display name and avatar, your rating, and results of battles you played against them.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays until you delete your account. Study activity is kept while the account exists, because it is what your progress is made of. Voice audio is not retained after the reply is produced.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete your account and everything attached to it. Write to connect@zeronode.in and we will action it. Deleting your account removes your data; it does not remove the questions you contributed to aggregate statistics, which carry no identifier.

Children

Unischool is built for candidates preparing for state government examinations, who are adults. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
